SUNDAY MORNING ADULT CLASSES FOR

September 14th - 28th - Dr. Michael Nel will do three sessions on the accounts of the Lord's Supper in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Dr. (Pastor) Nel is the Director of Consultation for Clergy in the Pacific Northwest.
October 4th - 26th - Pastor Martha Myers will do a Bible study on "Amos: Prophet for an Election Year." Pastor Myers is one of the best Bible teachers among parish pastors in the Northwest Washington Synod.
Amos brought a very pointed word of God to a particular people in a specific time and place, a time and place very different from our own. Yet, as we explore his time and message, we may find some food for thought as we wrestle with issues of our own day.
October 5 - "It was a time of peace and prosperity...or was it?"
October 12 - "When just praising the Lord just isn't enough"
October 19 - "Let justice roll down like waters"
October 24 - "The death of a nation...and the God who stands beyond"
November 2nd - No Adult Class, the Lord of Life annual congregational meeting is schedule for this time.
November 9 and 16th - Dr. Paul Pennington is scheduled to teach a class on medical ethical issue. Dr. Pennington is a medical doctor and an instructor to resident doctors at Valley Medical Center.
November 23rd - No Adult Class, Thanksgiving Weekend
November 30th - December 14th - The Lord of Life "Christmas Traditions" are back. Learn special Christmas cooking traditions for other members.
December 21st - January 4th - No Adult Classes during the Christmas Holidays
January 11th - February 1st - Pastor Charlie Mays will do a series on Poverty and Hunger in the Bible as a background for the "Millennium Goals 2000" and the "One" Campaign, programs to end hunger. Pastor Mays is not only the founding pastor of Lord of Life Lutheran but he is one of the most well known teacher in our area.
February 8th - Bishop Chris Boerger will be with us to do a forum on any issue we choose to discuss about the church. Bishop Boerger will also preach at the 1st and 3rd services that day.
February 15th - March 15th - Professor Lowell Stime will do a Bible Study on a book or topic to be announced. Lowell Stime just retire as a teach at Trinity Lutheran College (LBI).
March 22nd - April 5th and April 19th- Doctor Pauline Kaurin will return to continue her class on "The Ethics of War." Pauline Kaurin is a visiting professor of philosophy at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. She was with us last year for one session on the subject of war and has, by popular demand agreed to return.
April 12th - No Adult Classes - Easter
April 19th - Doctor Kaurin returns.
April 26th - May 17th - Dr. Bruce Grigsby will do a class on a subject to be announced. Dr. Grigsby is a professor at Trinity Lutheran College and is returned for his 8th spring of teaching at Lord of Life.
