How to Become a Member?                                                                                                                   

Lord of Life Lutheran welcomes everyone to participate in the worship, activities, and service of its community.  The decision to become a member involves the commitment to worship together, to support and care for the congregation, and to serve the larger community through it.   Although the congregation works hard to support all those who come, the congregation also makes the commitment that it will care for its members.

If you wish to become a member please contact the church office or speak to the pastor.  Individuals may join at any time during the year.

The steps are: 

1)      speak to the pastor or church office

2)      if you are or have been a member in another Christian church contact that church and ask them to send a “Letter of Membership Transfer” to Lord of Life Lutheran.

3)      A Sunday will be schedule at your convenience for a “service of welcome” during any of the regularly scheduled services.

4)      before or after joining you may, if you wish, come to one of the 4 session “adult confirmation classes” that are scheduled usually starting in January.

5)      after joining an appointment will be schedule between the pastor, the Volunteerism Coordinator, and the person or family joining so that we can get to know each other better.

6)      you will be invited to one of the gatherings schedule twice or so a year for those recently joining to meet each other and to meet some of the folks who have been here longer.

Lord of Life makes few distinctions between members and non-members.  Those not members are welcome to participate in all of the activities of the congregation.  The only official items reserved for membership are voting at meetings of the congregation (anyone may ‘attend’ any meeting) and serving on the church council.
